Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join our medical team in Ballina, New South Wales. This part-time contract role is essential for providing expert nutritional advice and support to our patients, ensuring they receive tailored dietary plans that promote health and well-being. The Dietitian will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualised dietary plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education and counselling to patients and their families regarding nutrition and healthy eating habits.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field.
  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
