Assists in planning, assessing, and implementing patient nutritional care plan. Assists in menu modifications and other nutritional related functions.
Job Responsibility
1.Works under direct supervision of Registered Dietitians at all times.
2.Interviews patient and/or family for nutritional history, obtains patient food preferences, assesses patients, and documents in patients' medical record.
3.Conducts nutritional assessment, develops, and implements patient specific care plans, and assists in recommending nutrition care plans to medical staff for review and consideration.
4.Recommends therapeutic diet modifications, enteral and parenteral nutrition, or supplemental feedings to physicians for patients and ensures adequacy and accuracy of diet order received by checking against physician's order.
5.Calculates nutrient content of enteral and parenteral nutrition and dietary intakes as ordered by physicians.
6.Provides nutritional guidance and counseling to patients and their families.
7.Assists with changes to patient's menu, including patient food preferences.
8.Reports any malfunctioning of equipment, which may interfere with safe and smooth clinical nutrition operations.
9.Prepares, presents, and conducts individual and group education classes, and refers clients to community services, as needed.

Job Qualification
Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.Must have completed and have a verification statement from an accredited dietetic internship program.
Must obtain Registered Dietitian License within 6 months of hire.
