Staff Grade Dietitian

Part Time (21 hours per week)– Specified Purpose Contract

Applications are invited for the above position from suitably qualified candidates. The Bon Secours is the largest private hospital in Ireland and provides for numerous specialties including Oncology, Haematology, Radiotherapy, Palliative Care, Gerontology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Paediatrics, Endocrinology, Neurology, Orthopaedic, Bariatric surgery, and General Surgery. The Dietetics Department is a dynamic team which strives to provide a quality service for both inpatients and outpatients. This post will provide the successful candidates the opportunity to gain varied experience in a wide range of specialties.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian who is patient centred and would relish the opportunity to contribute to the development of the dietetic service in their assigned areas. Due to the dynamic nature of the current healthcare environment an ability to be work flexible across a wide variety of dietetic disciplines is essential

There will be opportunities to develop clinical expertise in other areas, and continuing professional development is actively encouraged and supported.

What We Are Looking For:

·Must hold a qualification approved by the Dietitians registration board at CORU.

·Be registered with the Dietitians registration board at CORU.

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

·Maintain live annual registration with the Dietitians registration board at CORU.

  • Have some experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability for working within a team and the ability to prioritise case load in a busy setting) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
  • Be able to communicate in English to the standard equivalent of level 7 of the International English Language Testing System
  • Be eligible to be a member of the INDI
