Key Responsibilities
Manage daily foodservice operations, meal preparation, and dining services.
Plan nutritious, appealing menus complying with physician orders and dietary restrictions.
Supervise, schedule, train, and mentor culinary and dietary staff.
Maintain strict compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
Order food, equipment, and supplies while managing the department budget.
Conduct nutritional assessments and participate in patient care planning.
Qualifications
Certification: Active Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) designation required.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of dietary management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of IDDSI frameworks, clinical nutrition, and state health department regulations.
Skills: Excellent leadership, budget management, and communication skills.
