Diablo Valley Post Acute is looking for dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our Dietary Services team. As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important role in providing nutritious meals and creating a positive dining experience for our residents while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

Essential Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation, tray set-up, and meal service for residents.
Prepare and serve snacks and nourishments as assigned.
Collect, strip, and wash returned meal trays and dishes.
Safely operate the commercial dishwasher and monitor water temperature and sanitizer levels.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining areas.
Sweep and mop floors, clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and food preparation areas.
Properly store food and supplies following sanitation and safety guidelines.
Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the dietary department.
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident service.
Participate in orientation and ongoing in-service training as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous dietary, food service, or restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.
