Nutrition Services atUnion Hospital is looking to add a Dietary Aide to its team of caregivers.In this role, you will ensure that patients receive good nutritious meals that nourish their wellbeing,spirituallyandemotionally,and contribute to a good dining experience for patients.When we do everything in service of our patients and caregivers, no detail gets ignored. A caregiver in this position works varyingdays andhours between730AM –6:30PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteriaguestsand catered events.
Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments.
Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.
Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.
Follow department standards and procedures.
Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Six months of experience in food service
