Part-Time | Flexible Schedule

Pay range $17.08-$17.18

Position Summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Full-Time Dietary Aide to support our dietary services department. This role plays a key part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining all sanitation and food safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs
  • Deliver meal trays and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner
  • Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food service areas
  • Follow all infection control, food safety, and facility policies
  • Assist with storing food supplies and rotating stock as needed
  • Provide respectful and compassionate service to residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior dietary or food service experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, lifting, and bending

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry food trays and kitchen items
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
