The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Dietary Aide to join our Lifestyle Options - Schonsee team on a casual basis. In this role, you will prepare high ‑quality food efficiently and safely in a fast ‑paced kitchen environment while staying organized, working collaboratively with the team, and adhering to all safety procedures.

What you’ll do:
  • Prepare hot and cold food safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Plate meals for residents, including those with allergies or special dietary needs.
  • Follow portion guidelines and presentation standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Restock food, beverages, and condiments throughout the shift.
  • Wash dishes between meal periods and keep all stations clean and sanitary.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, coolers, and storage areas.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, WHMIS, proper knife, and equipment use.
  • Strong work ethics, positive team attitude, and ability to work safely with required PPE.
  • Culinary training or experience cooking for seniors considered an asset.
