
QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary School Diploma
Food Service Worker Certificate
Food Handler’s Certificate (course offered by the Public Health Unit)
Previousexperience in long-term care food service
Excellent knowledge of HACCP program
Meet requirements of a Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for the position
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Take full responsibility for the delivery of nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for residents
Satisfythe nutritional needs of residents by following therapeutic menu plans
Prioritize daily job tasksin order toensure completion
Promote trust, respect, and cooperation with co-workers through open and honest dialogue
Demonstratecourtesy, a positive attitude,responsibilityand excellence
Attend work on a regular basis
Attend in-services to upgrade or improve skills and knowledge
Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
Carry on duties as assigned by Dietary Manager and Food Service Supervisor
