Dietary Aide
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the dietary aide will assist the cook with the coordinating and functioning of the dietary needs of the residents and families of Agapé Hospice in accordance with the Hospice philosophy.
Dietary Aide:
• Assists cook with coordination of food preparation and service in the kitchen;
• Assists cook with preparation of sufficient amounts of food for residents, guests and catered functions according to established menu rotation;
Maintains sanitary regulations in the workarea.
· Advises the Support Services Manager regarding inventory of kitchen equipment & utensils and assists in the purchasing of items asdelegated.
Checks accuracy of plated food with resident menuchoices
Participates in department and quality improvementactivities
The successful applicant will preferably have a High School education or equivalent, completion of WHMIS, food handling and safety training required (completed within the last 2 years), CPR, and First Aid, and valid Police/VSC check.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $22.03 to $23.02 with a maximum of $24.01.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
