Dietary Aide (Full-Time)
Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This position offers a stable, repeating schedule with competitive hourly pay.
Compensation & Schedule
Wage: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule: 4 days on, 2 days off (rotating cycle)
Shifts: Varied schedules including AM and PM shifts
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing food items following specific dietary menus.
Set up dining rooms, tray lines, and resident meal carts.
Serve meals to residents politely and efficiently.
Clean kitchen equipment, wash dishes, and sanitize work areas.
Deliver snacks and beverages to designated nursing stations.
Dispose of dietary waste according to facility procedures.
Store food and supplies properly to maintain freshness and safety.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food service or healthcare facilities is a plus.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Reliability to work a rotating "4 on, 2 off" shift schedule.
