Pay Range: $19.30 – $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Assist the cook in preparing meals, snacks, and beverages according to prescribed dietary plans.

• Tray Assembly: Set up dining rooms and assemble resident meal trays with accuracy regarding portion sizes and restrictions.

• Service: Serve meals to residents politely, ensuring a pleasant and respectful dining experience.

• Sanitation: Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and dining areas.

• Inventory & Storage: Assist in unpacking, labeling, and storing food supplies safely.

• Compliance: Adhere strictly to state health department regulations and facility safety policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Experience: Previous food service experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

• Certifications: Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).

• Skills: Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds.

• Attributes: Strong teamwork mindset, reliability, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.
