Salary Range: $26.75 - $40.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Multiple Shifts AvailableDiesel Mechanic / Reefer & Trailer Technician – 3 or 4-Day Workweek

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics, Trailer Technicians, and Reefer Technicians to support fleet maintenance and refrigerated transport operations in Johnstown, NY. Enjoy flexible 3- or 4-day schedules, premium pay, and strong benefits.
Available Schedules:
Sunday–Wednesday
- 3:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM
Thursday–Saturday
- 4:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
** Overnight & 3:00 AM shifts earn an additional $2/hr premium

What You’ll Do:
- Preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs
- Brake, suspension, and DOT/FHWA inspections
- Diagnose electrical systems and ABS brakes
- Tire services (mount, dismount, balance, flat repairs)
- Trailer structural repairs, rear doors, and washouts
- Troubleshoot APUs and assist with road service calls
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year diesel, trailer, or refrigeration experience
- (DOT inspections & air brakes required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Obtain toolbox and the required tools
- Strong work ethic and team-focused mindset
