Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI) is hiring Diesel Technicians, Diesel Mechanics, HVAC Technicians, Automotive Technicians, and Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Technicians who are looking for more than just a job to join our Madison, WI team.
Whether you’re experienced or newer to the trade, TRI provides paid on-the-job training and Thermo King factory certification training to help you build a long-term career in the transport refrigeration industry.
In this role, you’ll diagnose and repair transport refrigeration units, APUs, diesel heaters, and truck cab A/C systems that keep refrigerated fleets running across the country.

🔧 Technician Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units, APUs, diesel heaters, and cab A/C systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Complete road service calls and participate in on-call rotation (after training)
- Meet standard repair times while maintaining quality work
- Safely operate shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and hoists
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment
✅ Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical school preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic diesel, automotive, or HVAC mechanical experience
- Obtain toolbox and the required tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to obtain within 1 year:
