Job Description

Bemana is searching for a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Jesup, GA to join the maintenance team of a nationwide lumber manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of a fleet of diesel trucks and trailers, including Kenworth, Freightliner, Volvo, Mack trucks, and Hyundai and Taylor lift trucks. Their Diesel Mechanics play a vital role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Hourly rate up to $30/hour depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and lift trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify issues and verify that repairs have been properly completed.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and document maintenance activities thoroughly.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and departments to coordinate maintenance needs.

Required Qualifications

• 2nd shift: 11AM-7pm (preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical experience working on tractors, trailers, or forklifts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret technical information.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• 1+ year of diesel engine repair experience.
• 1+ year of general mechanical experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in a logistics or transportation setting.
