🛠️ Diesel Mechanic Needed: Help Us Keep the Wheels Turning in Weldon/Halifax, NC!

If you're ready to bring your elite wrenching skills to a team that actually values your hard work, GFL Environmental wants you! We are looking for a skilled, energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our crew in the Weldon/Halifax, North Carolina area.

At GFL (Green For Life), we don’t just handle waste and recycling; we keep our communities clean, green, and moving forward. And we can’t do that without our absolute rockstars in the shop.

What You’ll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff):

• Diagnose & Conquer: Use top-tier diagnostic software and your mechanical intuition to figure out exactly what’s ailing our heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG rigs, and specialized equipment.

• The Ultimate Rebuild: From standard preventative maintenance to full-blown engine and hydraulic repairs, you’ll be the doctor keeping our massive rolling stock alive and kicking.

• Master the Shop: Utilize an epic arsenal of hand and power tools in a clean, organized workspace.

• Be the Expert: Plan out repairs in our M5 system, order the parts you need, and help mentor newer team members who want to learn from the best.

What We’re Looking For:

• The Experience: You’ve got at least one (1) year of solid experience under your belt working as a diesel mechanic.

• The Toolbox: You bring your own tools and a massive pride in ownership.

• The Brains: You have a high school diploma/GED (a technical diploma is an awesome bonus!) and you're computer literate enough to master our software systems.

• The Vibe: You work safely, communicate well with the team, and love the feeling of a job well done.
