Location: 11500 43rd Street North, Clearwater, FL 33762 Waste Connections Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–12:00 AM + every 3rd Saturday
Pay: $30+/hr DOE Shift: 2nd Shift
Waste Connections is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled, safety‑driven Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our fleet in Clearwater, FL. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using onboard computer systems.
Complete safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets operational standards.
Document repairs, parts usage, and labor time in fleet maintenance software.
Address and resolve items noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA‑compliant work environment.
2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
Strong ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
Experience with fleet maintenance software and inspection protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding tasks (lifting 50 lbs, weather exposure).
