Kieffer Sanitation, a Waste Connections Company is looking for a safety conscious Diesel Mechanic in Gillette, Wyoming

The ideal Mechanic will have a self-motivated, go-getting attitude, that is looking to excel and grow with our GROWING company! We provide On-the-Job Training to lead you to the next technical level!

Pay Range$30-$34 per hour | Tool allowance | $5,000 stay on bonus!

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:00pm/5:00pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform repairsand assigned preventative maintenanceservices. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repairof electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
  • Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenancesoftware program associated with repairingvehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repairtimes.
  • Reviews, completes, or assigns repairsidentified on Driver Vehicle InspectionReports.
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Class B CDL preferredor ability to obtain in the future.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repairtrucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
