Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, aerial lifts, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, and fittings.
• Conduct regular maintenance on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Keep accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage.
• Assist in fleet inspections and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Respond to emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with operations staff to schedule equipment maintenance and ensure availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with hydraulic and aerial lift equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, schematics, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and modern repair tools.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and around heavy equipment.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces as needed.
