Die Cutter Operator

Middlestreet Graphic and Display is seeking a skilled and reliable operator to manage both flatbed die-cutting equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and maintain flatbed die-cutting machines
• Perform changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly
• Interpret job tickets, drawings, and cut files for accurate execution
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct routine maintenance and report mechanical issues
• Optimize material usage and minimize waste
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
• 2+ years of die cutting or similar equipment experience
• Experience with digital cutters (e.g., Zünd, Elitron, CNC routers, laser cutters)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret job specs, layouts, and structural drawings
• Familiarity with materials like corrugate, plastics, and SBS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Skills & Abilities
• Attention to detail and precision in cutting
• Knowledge of machine maintenance and safety protocols
• Ability to identify and correct cutting defects
• Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
