The Certified Dialysis Technician and/or Dialysis LPN provides direct patient care during hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role includes performing dialysis procedures, monitoring patient conditions, completing required water testing and lab work, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
You’ll be an essential member of our multidisciplinary care team—supporting patients, collaborating with nursing staff, and contributing to department quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic hemodialysis procedures and assist with daily patient care under RN supervision
Monitor, observe, and promptly report any patient condition changes to the RN
Document care and assessments accurately in the electronic medical record
Conduct assigned water testing, required laboratory tests, and quality control monitoring
Support basic life support efforts as needed
Assist patients with personal needs such as bedpans, urinals, and comfort measures
Demonstrate professionalism in ethics, cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and customer service
Act as a resource for department equipment and supplies
Participate in department projects and quality improvement initiatives
Orient and support new team members as needed
Provide and receive thorough shift handoffs
Maintain awareness of patient rights and escalate concerns appropriately
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior medical experience preferred, but not required
One (1) year recent experience in one of the following preferred:
Dialysis Technician
Certified Medical Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistant
Phlebotomist
Surgical Technician
First Responder
EMT
ED Tech
LPN
Must successfully complete job-specific orientation and competencies and demonstrate age-appropriate patient care knowledge
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers—required within 6 months of hire
Recognized certification as a Dialysis Technician (if applicable)
Current LPN license in the applicable state (for LPN candidates)
Hourly Rate: Starting at $21.75-$32.63
Shift Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night and weekend shift differentials (details provided during interview).
