Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostics Specialist to join our medical laboratory team in Miami, FL. This position plays a vital role in supporting diagnostic testing workflows, ensuring accuracy, and delivering timely, high-quality results that support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established laboratory protocols for reviewing and maintaining accurate records of patient test results.
  • Comply with all laboratory quality assurance and safety control policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues that may compromise test performance or result reporting and take corrective action or promptly escalate concerns to the Diagnostics Manager.
  • Document all deviations from established performance standards, along with the corrective actions implemented.
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and overnight shifts as required by workload demands and operational needs.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure coordinated and effective workflow.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and accountability skills to support timely and accurate reporting of laboratory results.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of laboratory operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located if such licensing is required.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences from an accredited institution, plus at least six months of supervised experience or relevant training in high complexity testing.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
