We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of our Sonography team!

Reporting to the Manager or Site Coordinator, you will lead a team of 16–24 FTEs and play a key role in supporting staff, coordinating daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and efficient patient care.In this role, you will oversee staffing and scheduling, provide technical guidance, support recruitment and performance management, and coach, mentor and orient team members. You will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, policy and procedure development, workplace safety, equipment and operational planning, and the implementation of new practices and technologies. As a working supervisor, you will remain connected to clinical practice and perform technical procedures as required.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sonographer who is ready to take the next step in their career and expand their leadership experience. What You Bring

Education, Training, and Experience

• Graduate of a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography and certified with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
• A minimum of four (4) years' recent, related experience, including one (1) year supervisory and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures with modality equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of research process and methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PACS/Radiology Information Systems, i.e. digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval.
• Demonstrated ability to function as an effective leader, motivator, facilitator and team member.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate, coach and mentor staff.
• Demonstrated ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals.
• Demonstrated ability to promote evidence-based practice and a culture of creativity and enquiry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and implement new projects.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, co-workers, physicians, other health care staff and staff of external agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with and/or guide others in resolution of conflict issues.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated skill in modality specific techniques and the use of applicable equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

• Coordinating staffing, scheduling, workload and daily priorities.
• Providing technical guidance and performing sonography duties as needed.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management.
• Ensuring quality standards, policies, procedures and health and safety requirements are followed.
• Overseeing equipment, supplies, reporting and operational issues.
• Supporting quality improvement, research and professional development initiatives.
