Responsibilities

Responsible for providing Dietary Education and Diabetes self-management education and training to individuals and groups according to the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and Standards of Professional performance for Diabetes Educators (ADCES).

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 1. One (1) year experience providing diabetes education to individuals and/or groups
  • ADCES certification or eligible for certification and will complete within six months
  • Registered Dietitian OR
  • Registered Nurse with current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nursing Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate License

    PREFERRED

  • Knowledgeable about current diabetes treatment management.
  • Lead and manage group classes.
