Detailed Description
Lead and mentor engineering team members; develop and deliver technical and sales training in collaboration with the Engineering Manager
Develop and maintain expertise in Down Hole Tool applications and provide technical recommendations to optimize drilling programs
Analyze drilling data and perform performance studies to improve tool performance in critical applications
Provide high-level technical support to customers in both field and office environments
Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to develop, test, and improve tool designs
Recommend product improvements or obsolescence based on application-specific needs
Communicate product performance, features, and benefits to customers and internal teams
Conduct performance analysis on trial runs and track PUK and directional performance data
Investigate dull conditions and perform problem-solving related to tool performance
Perform international data analysis to support global operations
Identify and develop new business opportunities and support sales growth initiatives
Provide onsite rig support and participate in customer meetings and presentations
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and performance data
Collaborate cross-functionally to align customer needs, product design, and sales strategies
Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to drilling performance and data interpretation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer proficiency and experience with data analysis tools
Comfortable with public speaking and delivering technical presentations
Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach
Ability to perform physical job requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs
Visual acuity and manual dexterity for technical and field work
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related technical field
Minimum of 5 years of drill bit or drilling experience
Experience with industry tools such as Bithub, GameChanger, Wellscan, and Table AU
Preferred Certifications
Experience in oil and gas drilling operations or PDC drill bit sales
Knowledge of drilling applications, bit design, and performance optimization techniques
Familiarity with drilling data analysis software and tools

This role requires a strong focus on safety in both shop and field environments. Work conditions may include exposure to outdoor weather, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
