Job Description

The CoE Engineer for handler (SOC HPC) acts as the technical consultant for handling and thermal for FT-Handler solutions. This role bridges R&D, field service, and global application teams to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable (Technologies Integration) of handling solutions. Focuses on driving innovation, supporting customer engagements, and enabling global knowledge transfer.

Job responsibilities

  1. Product & Process Expertise
  • Define effective NPI-solution setups for handling and thermal management with new technologies integration solutions.
  • Validate mechanical, thermal and automation performance under real-world conditions.

  • Innovation & Influence
    • Collaborate with R&D to influence design for better reliability and performance (throughput, stability).
    • Drive improvements in FT-handling, thermal management and automation relevance with customers’ needs and market demands.

  • Customer & Field Support
    • Participate in strategic customer engagements, especially for new handling solution introductions.
    • Provide consulting and troubleshooting for NPI & solution-integration support, related to mechanical (probe) alignment, thermal control, and automation efficiency.

  • Knowledge Transfer
    • Facilitate technical transfer to field engineers and customers.
    • Conduct workshops and online sessions on handler operation and optimization know-how to support teams globally.

    Qualifications

    Key Competencies & Skills

    • Deep understanding of semiconductor package handling and thermal technologies.
    • Global mindset and industrial knowledge to influence design decisions on technical, operational and business needs.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication for customer consulting, technical sharing and R&D collaboration.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years in semiconductor equipment (FT-handler), thermal and related automation systems.
    • Hands-on experience with mechanical alignment, thermal control, and device handling.

    Academic qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Thermal, Electronic or equivalent

    Others:

    • Flexible for short notice business trip, extended working hours & weekend/ holiday to support for critical project or escalation support demands.
