Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Lead relevant PV category deep-dives across global markets to identify emerging trends, and growth opportunities; define segment expansion strategies and conceptualize future-ready product propositions.
  • Work with IO markeitng and Sales team, external research agencies and drive insight generation through rigorous analysis of industry data, competitive benchmarks, and macro trends to enable fact-based decision-making and strategic product planning.
  • Develop and steer segment-wise product roadmaps, including Mid Cycle Refreshes, and all-new product pipelines aligned to long-term business and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively track and interpret global regulatory developments, market shifts, consumer behavior, and competitive actions to future-proof product strategies and ensure compliance readiness.
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle management, including Mid-Cycle Enhancements (MCE) and drivetrain strategies, ensuring sustained competitiveness and profitability of existing portfolios.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) in the concept phase of the product development MPDS in developing product definition and drive clarity and rigor in product definition across all gateway stages, ensuring alignment with business case assumption, and delivering all MPDS milestones relevant for PP and all MPDS in the concept phase, including key milestones such as media drives in IO market.
  • Spearhead the development, validation, and approval of comprehensive business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic, financial, and market objectives.

Experience

• Experience of 8-12 years years relevant experience with at least 2 years in a customer facing function like Sales/Marketing/Customer Care etc.
• Must have international product planning, sales, marekting experience.
• Product Planning and Product Marketing / Product Development experience will be preferred
• Proven track record of success in developing and executing a business case
• International markets exposure in business planning/coordination (Good to Have)

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Must Have : BE/ B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/Electrical/Electronics Engineering,
Good to have : MBA Marketing desirable

General Requirements

• Ability to understand cusomter need ( insighting), regularity needs and weave the product concept into a strong narrative and reason to win with the help of Product Request Form/ Product Data Book.
• Good Interpersonal skills, able to adapt and work with leaders and CFT teams
• Cross-functional working skills to collaborate with functions like Design, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, Customer Service etc
• Keen follower of market & consumer Insights across global markets
• Passionate about cars and the automotive industry
• Ability to think holistically with a strategic intent
• Ability to communicate and pitch new products to Senior Management for approval and direction
• Proficient in MS Excel and Power-point
• Having positive attitude and a passion for developing new products from grounds up
• Strong automotive product/ecosystem base knowledge with a desire to learn new aspects of business
• Open to new ideas and perspectives by CFT and build on the team knowledge for effective decision making
