The Role and Impact:
Join us as a DFT Design Engineer and become a critical part of Intel's mission to push the boundaries of innovation. In this role, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art technology by designing and implementing cutting-edge Design for Test (DFT) solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving the quality and efficiency of our silicon products, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for performance, reliability, and scalability. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and directly influence the success of Intel's product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop logic design, register transfer level (RTL) coding, and simulation for DFT features including SCAN, MBIST, and BSCAN.
- Provide DFT timing closure support and generate test content for manufacturing.
- Collaborate in the definition and implementation of block, subsystem, and SoC architecture and microarchitecture features under DFT.
- Optimize logic to meet power, performance, area, timing, test coverage, test time, and design integrity goals.
- Write and generate RTL and structural code to integrate DFT into designs effectively.
- Review and drive verification of DFT designs to ensure compliance with architecture specifications.
- Resolve and implement corrective measures for RTL test failures to ensure feature correctness.
- Integrate DFT blocks into functional IP and SoC designs and provide high-quality support to SoC customers.
- Collaborate with post-silicon and manufacturing teams to verify features on silicon, support debug requirements, and document learnings for future improvements.
- Develop high-volume manufacturing (HVM) content for rapid bring-up and ramp to production on automatic test equipment (ATE).
- Drive high test coverage through structural and specific IP tests to achieve quality and defect-per-million (DPM) objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3 or more years with a Master's degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
- Proficiency in Design for Test (DFT) knowledge, tools, and techniques.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, OVM, and UVM.
- Experience with DFx methodologies and test content generation.
- Familiarity with RTL coding, simulation, and DFT timing closure processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to optimize designs for power, performance, and area while meeting timing and test coverage goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of resolving complex design issues.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to partner with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in silicon design and test methodologies.
