Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a DevX Business Analyst to support products within the DevX Standards and Controls function that enable software teams to understand and comply with standards and control frameworks. This role is particularly focused on enhancing the developer experience as teams move code through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to production, enabling frictionless and control-compliant delivery paths. The successful candidate will work across a variety of applications that support these products and collaborate closely with customers, developers, and technical leads to deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer problems and business needs related to the DevX Standards and Controls strategy.
  • Collaborate with customers, developers, and technical leads to develop effective solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Translate ideas into clear and understandable requirements and specifications.
  • Write functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create process flow diagrams, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams.
  • Develop descriptions of system processes and solution designs.
  • Write and execute tests to validate requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Design solutions with a customer-centric approach to minimize user impact.
  • Analyze customer behavior and assess the impact of changes.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, customers, and development teams.
  • Perform business process modelling and analysis.
  • Support handovers, presentations, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Engage with API and web application development teams to ensure alignment.
  • Seek out information and stakeholders proactively to develop and present solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within complex technology environments.
  • Strong system and application analysis skills.
  • Experience working with APIs and API or web application development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to capture explicit and implicit requirements and define appropriate solutions.
  • Experience documenting functional specifications, including agile stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams.
  • Experience analyzing systems and user impacts in partnership with engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working within global organizations and globally distributed development teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, views, and concerns clearly and respectfully.
  • Experience contributing innovative solutions, approaches, products, or services to improve outcomes.
  • Experience with A/B testing, feature toggling, and canary releases is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks and writing tests for requirements is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, collaborative, and inquisitive mindset.
