Job Description

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help us build, automate, secure, and operate reliable software delivery platforms and cloud-native environments. The position is available in our Athens or Thessaloniki offices, with the option to work fully remotely.

DevSecOps Engineer responsibilities include maintaining and improving CI/CD processes, deploying and operating applications and infrastructure, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting the secure and reliable delivery of software. If you have a strong technical background and at least 2 years of experience in a DevOps, DevSecOps, or similar role, we would like to meet you.

Main responsibilities

  • Maintain, improve, and automate CI/CD pipelines and related processes;
  • Operate and administer CI/CD platforms and supporting infrastructure;
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications and microservices on Kubernetes, both on-premises and in cloud environments;
  • Maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of deployed applications and services;
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications;
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and application-related issues;
  • Integrate security controls and automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes;
  • Support vulnerability remediation and the secure configuration of infrastructure and application environments;
  • Work closely with development teams to improve build, deployment, and release processes;
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration where appropriate;
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on DevSecOps-related activities.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar role;
  • Great knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker;
  • Great knowledge of Kubernetes and experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes clusters;
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure;
  • Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as Amazon EKS and/or Azure AKS;
  • Experience with Kubernetes package/configuration management tools such as Helm and/or Kustomize;
  • Good knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting;
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab CI;
  • Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows;
  • Familiarity with GitOps and continuous delivery tools such as Argo CD;
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus;
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning, dependency scanning, secrets management, and secure CI/CD pipelines;
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts relevant to Kubernetes and web applications, such as DNS, TLS, ingress, and load balancing;
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
  • Good communication and collaboration skills;
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • German knowledge is an asset.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as AWS CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform/OpenTofu is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering tools, including an understanding of their appropriate and secure use.
