Hiireis supporting Kununu in the search for a DevSecOps Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

Kununu is one of the leading employer branding and workplace insights platforms in the German market, helping companies and candidates make more transparent decisions through company reviews, culture insights, and employee experience data.

They are currently looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join the team, someone with a solid DevOps foundation and a genuine interest in application security, cloud infrastructure, and secure engineering practices.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with the infrastructure and engineering teams, helping strengthen security practices across the entire software delivery lifecycle for the company’s cloud-based applications.

This is a highly transversal role combining:

• DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

• CI/CD & Automation

• Code Analysis & Security Practices

• Infrastructure Security

• Process Improvement & Operational Ownership

One of the team’s key challenges is protecting platforms and infrastructure against large volumes of automated attacks and malicious access attempts, while maintaining scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve DevSecOps practices

• Contribute to the security and reliability of cloud-based applications running on AWS

• Help evolve and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on security and automation

• Support initiatives around code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure development practices

• Identify infrastructure and application security risks and contribute to mitigation strategies

• Work on application security topics across cloud infrastructure and internal platforms

• Help improve security visibility, operational processes, and engineering workflows

• Contribute to the prevention and mitigation of malicious traffic and automated attack attempts

• Promote security best practices across development and infrastructure teams

What We're Looking For

• Strong foundational knowledge in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering

• Experience with AWS and CI/CD environments

• Broad understanding of application security concepts and security best practices

• Exposure to areas such as:

  • cloud infrastructure security

  • firewall and network security concepts

  • code analysis and scanning

  • vulnerability management

  • penetration testing

• A pragmatic and well-rounded engineering mindset

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ownership, proactivity, and autonomy

• Fluency in both English and Portuguese

Working Model

• Remote-first environment

• Occasional office attendance is expected

• Candidates based in Madeira are also welcome

• Preference for candidates located in Portugal
