Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor SharePoint software for any glitches or problems.
  • Troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Oversee activity pertaining to the maintenance of SharePoint.
  • Manages and revises the layout of the site.
  • Requirements gathering for new site designs.
  • Customizes SharePoint site for company purposes.
  • Analyses daily user activity on SharePoint.
  • Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.
  • Reports to company management with updates and information about SharePoint use.
  • Provides technical support for SharePoint users.
  • Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to SharePoint software.
  • Applies updates to company’s edition of SharePoint as necessary.
  • Maintains SharePoint security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Education Requirements:

  • BS, MS degree, or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years prior work experience in SharePoint Development and Administration
  • 2+ years SPFx work experience.
  • Knowledge of React JS/ Angular.
  • SharePoint Architecture strong knowledge.
  • Proficiency in:
    • SharePoint Online and On-Premises
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Office 365 suite
    • SQL Server and Windows Server
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and scope.

SharePoint Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint applications and sites.
  • Implement, configure, and customize SharePoint applications.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain custom web parts, lists/libraries, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation.
  • Develop and deploy workflows and customizations.
  • Provide SharePoint administration and technical support for Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online
    environment.
  • Manage and maintain site content and structure settings, site hierarchy, and site collection
    navigation.
  • Manage permissions and data management.
  • Build workflow forms using SharePoint Designer, and PowerApps/Power Automate.
  • Design, configure, manage, and maintain comprehensive site collection, site, and list level usage
    reports and usability analysis.
  • Configure and administer SharePoint and automate tasks.
  • Experience in workflow and forms creation using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Work on help desk tickets and service requests for Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online.
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise taxonomy, terms, and keywords for the term store.
  • Manage and delete site collections and sub-sites in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online system as
    per service requests.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide customer support to staff utilizing Microsoft 365 SharePoint
    Online.
  • Consolidate sites and migrate content as needed.
  • Schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including testing, rollback procedures and risk
    analysis.

Other Qualifications, Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience programming in .Net Core, .NET 4.8, C#, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, T-SQL, XML. Experience with SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, InfoPath, Web Parts, SPFx, Rest API, and workflow creation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint Online.
  • PowerShell for automating tasks and managing SharePoint environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Basic understanding of web development principles for designing and implementing user interfaces.
  • Strong testing and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio.
  • Understanding of how SharePoint integrates with other Office 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of content management principles.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Servers.
  • Strong ability to think creatively to devise customizations and uses for SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with website layouts and html.
  • Strong ability to think and work quickly to remedy system shutdowns or serious software problems.
  • Possesses knowledge of best practices for maintaining information security.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly.
