THE TEAM AND ITS MISSION

KINEXON manages hundreds of active customer installations around the globe, running in heterogeneous and demanding environments. Our infrastructure team builds and operates the cloud infrastructure that powers these deployments — ensuring they are reliable, observable, and scalable as KINEXON grows

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and operate the infrastructure behind KINEXON's cloud platform — from CI/CD pipelines to production Kubernetes clusters
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources on AWS
• Own the Kubernetes platform: cluster lifecycle, deployment strategies, Helm charts, networking, and security policies
• Build internal tooling and backend services in Go to automate platform operations and support developer workflows
• Operate and evolve our observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Sentry) — dashboards, alerting, and incident response
• Maintain and improve our GitLab CI/CD build infrastructure, including runner fleets, pipeline templates, and artifact management
• Collaborate with product engineering teams on containerization, release processes, and production readiness
• Participate in architecture discussions, document infrastructure decisions, and present platform changes to internal stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
• You have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production — deploying, scaling, debugging, and securing containerized workloads
• You write infrastructure as code with Terraform and understand state management, module design, and drift handling
• You have worked extensively with AWS (or a comparable hyperscaler) and are comfortable with networking, IAM, and managed services
• You are proficient in Go for building backend services, CLIs, and automation tooling
• You have operated observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, or similar) and know how to design meaningful alerts and dashboards
• You have built and maintained CI/CD pipelines and their underlying infrastructure, preferably in GitLab
• You are comfortable working in Linux environments and debugging distributed systems at the network, container, and application level
• You have practical experience with AI/LLM technologies — using AI-assisted coding tools, integrating LLM APIs into products, or deploying AI-powered tooling for engineering teams
• Experience with frontend / SPA development (Vue.js, TypeScript) is a plus
• You communicate well, show a hands-on mentality, and take ownership of your work
• You are fluent in English; German is a plus
