DevOps Lead (Mobile Platform)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand | Permanent, full time | Hybrid

About the Opportunity

Evantis Talent Solutions is recruiting a DevOps Lead for a leading multinational financial services organisation.

You will own DevOps strategy and governance for the organisation's global customer mobile app. Several engineering teams have each started building their own practices, and your job is to bring them together into one strategy for the whole programme. You will lead a core DevOps function directly and work closely with each team's Principal DevOps Engineer to turn the standards into daily practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end DevOps strategy, and standardise CI/CD platforms, Infrastructure as Code and observability tooling across teams
• Own DevOps controls within the organisation's risk framework: test-before-go-live, production access lifecycle and DR testing evidence
• Coordinate threat modelling for shared platform components with security and engineering teams
• Set CI/CD standards for the whole programme (pipeline tiering, quality gates, deployment strategies) and own the dev, test, staging and production environment strategy
• Own observability, alerting, capacity planning and cloud cost monitoring ahead of traffic peaks and new market rollouts
• Define and track DevOps KPIs (deployment frequency, MTTR, change failure rate, availability, SLOs) and report platform health to leadership
• Own end-to-end incident management: triage, escalation, cross-team coordination and post-mortems
• Act as accountable owner for disaster recovery, including RTO/RPO targets and DR testing across all layers
• Define release and change management standards (deployment windows, rollback, pre and post-deployment checks)
• Champion AI-assisted DevOps tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code

Requirements

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering, with at least 3 years leading DevOps strategy across multiple teams
• Track record owning production incident management and disaster recovery in regulated or high-availability environments
• Proven ability to lead distributed, multi-country teams without full formal authority
• Hands-on experience with observability, SLOs, capacity planning and cloud cost management (FinOps is a plus)
• Strong CI/CD, GitOps and environment management knowledge
• Hands-on Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP and Terraform (or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps governance: threat modelling, access lifecycle, secure pipelines
• Full professional English, and active use of AI engineering tools with examples of driving adoption
