The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to spearhead the optimization of our software delivery pipelines and cloud ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will lead the evolution of continuous integration, deployment, and infrastructure deployment strategies that directly accelerate feature delivery and ensure mission-critical stability across our enterprise applications. You will own the architecture of our cloud-native pipelines, drive site reliability, and directly influence key engineering metrics—including DORAbenchmarks—ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient operations as our technology landscape expands. This position is a fully remote opportunity for candidates serving the broader Harrisburg, PA Metro Market or working through our national recruitment network. Standard business hours apply, with remote alignment across US time zones. No significant travel is required. What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, secure, and repeatable software deployments.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Manage and optimize cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure, focusing on high availability, security, and peak performance.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, automated build and release workflows, and project tracking.
• Proactively monitor system performance and resolve technical issues across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to refine deployment strategies, system observability, and incident handling.
• Track and drive continuous improvement across key DORA metrics including Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and MTTR.
• Embed DevSecOps principles and security best practices directly into infrastructure code and delivery pipelines.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of dedicated experience in a DevOps Engineering or Cloud Systems Administration role.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, Azure cloud infrastructure, and associated cloud-native technologies.
• Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience engineering automated CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Solid scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Familiarity with modern observability tools including Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
• Strong baseline knowledge of cloud networking, system administration, and DevSecOps frameworks.

Education & Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 0–2+ years of exposure to software development and enterprise Line of Business (LOB) systems.

Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400 or AZ-104) or API design experience are a strong plus.
