Job Description

Join the Revolution in AI-Powered Energy Management!

At etalytics, we’re pioneering intelligent energy systems for the industrial sector. With IoT, data analytics, and AI, we help companies save energy, reduce CO₂ emissions, and cut costs. Are you passionate about Kubernetes, Linux, and automation? Then join us as a DevOps Engineer and actively shape the energy future – with real impact, not just buzzwords.

Tasks

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll make sure our platforms run smoothly, scale efficiently, and remain reliable. You’ll collaborate closely with development and customer success teams to boost automation and maintain high performance standards.

What to Expect:

  • Infrastructure Development: Design, deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters on-premises and in the cloud, applying GitOps principles with tools like Argo CD or Flux.
  • Deployment Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute seamless software rollouts.
  • System Reliability: Ensure uptime, performance and security of applications and infrastructure through proactive management and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and Metrics: Create Grafana dashboards and integrate Prometheus for data collection, alerting and visualization of key metrics.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to observability, performance and scalability, keeping systems robust.
  • Automation: Automate recurring tasks and provide tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

You bring minimum 3 years of relevant experience and enjoy taking ownership in dynamic environments where you can make a difference.

Your Skills:

  • Kubernetes: Solid experience managing production Kubernetes clusters and applications (on-prem and cloud).
  • Cloud Architecture: Experience not just operating, but architecting scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions is a plus.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with GitOps workflows and deployment tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Knowledge: Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar platforms.
  • Linux & Networking: Strong Linux administration skills and a good understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and observability challenges in production environments.

Benefits

  • Meaningful Work: Support industrial companies in becoming more efficient and sustainable
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working model with home office options (two days per week) and flexible hours
  • Team Spirit: A supportive, collaborative environment with plenty of space for exchange and cooperation
  • Community: Regular team events and shared activities
  • Work-Life Balance: 30 vacation days plus a flexible, agile work culture
  • Health: Subsidized local gym membership and the option for a job bike (for permanent employees)

About etalytics

We turn complex energy systems into intelligent orchestrated infrastructures.

With our AI platform etaONE, we help industrial companies and data center operators analyze, understand, and automatically optimize their energy flows in real time — without any additional hardware.

Whether in automotive manufacturing, the pharmaceutical & chemical industry, or IT data center infrastructure: our customers face growing pressure — volatile energy prices, tightening emissions regulations, and limited resources are colliding with highly complex technical systems.

etaONE acts as a “digital conductor”: it detects patterns, forecasts loads, and dynamically controls systems — more efficiently, more sustainably, and more reliably. Energy savings of up to 50%, ROI in less than a year, and significantly reduced CO₂ emissions speak for themselves.

The software enhances operational stability by using predictive analytics to maintain steady system behavior, avoid load spikes, and detect anomalies in real time. Dashboards provide instant visibility into deviations, allowing personnel to act immediately — reducing downtime and minimizing manual inspections.

Our AI algorithms are based on over ten years of research and are now deployed in large-scale industrial facilities operated by companies such as Volkswagen, Merck, Sanofi, Equinix, Digital Realty, and many others.

Behind etalytics stands a founding team that combines deep research expertise with practical implementation experience — turning cutting-edge innovation from leading German institutions into real-world impact.

Our goal: Accelerate the energy transition where it has the most impact — directly in operations.
