DevOps Engineer Latin America (remote)

Etleap came to be out of the frustration with how much effort is required to build and maintain robust data pipelines. We want to make data pipelines easy for data engineers and analysts, and so we are creating an intuitive ETL/ELT tool that makes it quick to integrate data from any source without writing code, and efficient to manage hundreds or thousands of data pipelines.

Our ETL/ELT software is powered by complex, autoscaling, fault-tolerant AWS infrastructure, and we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can help us take it to the next level.

Are you ready for the challenge?

What you are going to do:

• Perform system troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues across various back-end systems and SaaS products.
• Evolve our AWS production and test infrastructure to add functionality, and improve availability and reliability.
• Manage and evolve our CircleCI-based CI/CD pipelines to minimize build time and maximize build stability.
• Evolve our Terraform module (registry.terraform.io/modules/etleap/etleap-vpc) to add functionality, simplify usage, and improve infrastructure uptime and resiliency.
• Recommend and implement improvements to our release process in order to improve development speed, as well as system uptime and resiliency.
• Own tools for process automation, and identify more manual processes that can be automated.
• Manage and evolve systems for logging, metrics, and monitoring.
• Test and apply security upgrades for infrastructure and software.

What we want to see in you:

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with AWS-based infrastructure, including understanding of how to secure AWS and meet compliance requirements.
• 3+ years Terraform experience.
• Network administration knowledge.
• Experience with Linux administration and Docker.
• Comfortable with bash and Python scripting.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Big plus if you have the following:

• Experience using Java, or working with JVM based solutions.
• Experience working with VPN site-to-site connections (IPSec or WireGuard)
