What you’ll achieve

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery, installation, and ongoing optimization of our EMR, PAS and ECM solutions. Working within a highly skilled global and regional team, you will help ensure our healthcare customers receive a safe, robust, and reliable product experience from deployment through to ongoing support.

You will also collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, Program Managers, and customer teams to coordinate technical activities, investigate issues, raise and manage risks, and communicate progress clearly and professionally.

This role is central to the successful market introduction of the ORBIS EHR in Australia.

You will:

  • Leverage your proven technical domain expertise to develop expert ORBIS knowledge, shaping our regional EHR solution
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize ORBIS and webPAS environments, including servers and network infrastructure, aligned with global standards and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the design of overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy to aid in the delivery of an integrated cloud deployed solution which meets local customer and market needs.
  • Work with Solution, Integration and Security Architects and other project resources to implement end-to-end secure solutions that follow implementation best practices.
  • Support the full lifecycle of installations, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through to deployment and ongoing environment maintenance.

Essential Requirements

  • 10 years of Industry experience with a minimum of 5 years of DevOps Engineer
  • Strong background in Linux and Windows server administration.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting for deployments and environment management.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including managing cloud infrastructure across networking, storage services, VMs, etc.
  • Experience deploying and administering containerized applications, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Administration & Support of Java application servers (any but WildFly preferable)
  • Experience deploying and optimizing Citrix virtual applications.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools to ensure system health and availability.
  • Working knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) identity providers such as Microsoft Entra and Keycloak.
  • Ability to develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management.

Desirable Requirements

  • Basic Oracle database administration skills.
  • Familiarity with common DevOps tools and technologies (YUM, Maven, ELK, NPM, etc.).
  • Experience with NGINX, Quarkus, and OpenSearch.
  • Understanding of microservices architectures and API‑based systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
