  Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid: Full-time on-site during onboarding; 2 days/week on-site thereafter)
• Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) — Note: Freelance / Independent Contractors (ZZP) not permitted
• Experience Level: Senior (Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience)
• Travel Required: 25% to 50%

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with hands-on Python expertise to join the Regulatory Asset Management team. Operating at the intersection of financial regulations, business processes, and IT, you will be responsible for translating complex regulatory mandates into scalable technology solutions. You will leverage Python and data analytics to automate workflows, analyze datasets, and deliver operational insights.

Working within an Agile team of approximately 12 professionals, you will drive regulatory initiatives (such as SFDR, MAR, and EMIR) while collaborating daily with key stakeholders across Compliance, Trading, Regulatory Reporting, and Business Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Solution Design: Translate complex regulatory laws and financial mandates into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Data Analysis & Automation: Write production-level Python code to analyze financial datasets, construct data models, and automate business processes.
• Reporting & Visualization: Build interactive dashboards, reporting tools, and process automations utilizing Python (Streamlit), SQL, and Databricks
• Stakeholder Alignment: Liaise daily with business units, Compliance, Trading, and IT teams to refine requirements, prioritize deliverables, and align target state goals.
• System Operations & Support: Maintain, improve, and document existing regulatory applications and automated data pipelines.
• Delivery & Governance: Document technical/functional specifications, deliver solution presentations, and ensure robust delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Profile

• Experience:
  Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in complex corporate IT environments.
• Financial Services Domain: Solid domain knowledge of Asset Management, financial products, and the end-to-end investment chain.
• Regulatory Compliance: Proven familiarity with financial market compliance and regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., SFDR, MAR, EMIR).
• Technical Proficiency:
• Hands-on programming expertise in Python for data processing and workflow automation.
• Strong database and querying skills using SQL
• Experience with visual/analytical frameworks (e.g., Streamlit, Databricks).
• Work Style: Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of operating independently within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
