The Internet of Things (IoT) is not just a buzzword. DAX corporations and medium-sized companies, all industries and sectors are active to digitize their production chains and develop new business models from them. Around 30 billion “things” – such as cars, refrigerators or elevators – are currently connected via the Internet worldwide.
IoT business has been rapidly growing for the last quarters and will continue to dramatically grow for years ahead, so there is no better place to be right now! The time for change is now!
Tasks:
· Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of infrastructure and services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
· Support infrastructure and services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
· Maintain infrastructure and services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
· Support incident resolution and work on lessons learned and preventive maintenance (HW/SW).
· Analyze continuously process and performance - Proactive Problem Management.
· Engage in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous testing of infrastructure and services.
· Ensure infrastructure and/or application availability and continuously optimize resource usage.
· Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
· Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
· Prepare and continuously improve technical documentation.
· On-call week standby 24/7 availability.
Professional skills
- University degree in Technical area (Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems or related field)
- Experience with virtualization technologies in Linux based environments (hypervisor and/or container-based virtualization)
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and network security
- Mobile or/and Fixed Network technologies/architecture knowledge
- Experience in one or more of the following DevOps tools: Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible
- Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby.

Specific skills

- Experience in one or more of the following areas
- Public/Private Cloud Architectures
- IP protocols/Open flow
- CCNA certification will be considered an add-on
- Scripting, Automation
- CI/CD processes and tools (GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, Tosca, Jenkins)
- Competence in NFV
- Admin of Unix/Linux based system
- Knowledge of IMS
- Experience with Application Programming Interface/APIs
- Knowledge of MSS and rel.4 Networks would be an asset
- English language - fluent (excellent verbal and written communication skills)
