As a DevOps Engineer at MassMutual Romania, you will maintain the infrastructure and delivery pipelines that power our cloud-native applications. You will design, build and operate scalable AWS infrastructure, maintain Kubernetes clusters and drive CI/CD automation that enables development teams to ship reliably and fast.

You will work closely with software engineers, architects and security teams to ensure our platform is secure, observable and resilient - supporting both existing systems and new product initiatives as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Document Store Experience deploying and operating MongoDB Atlas clusters including clusters sizing, tier selection, and multi-region configuration.
• Basic MongoDB query proficiency: CRUD operations.
• Message Queue experience (ex. SQS, Kafka).
• Kubernetes cluster configuration and operations including deployment of RESTful microservices.
• Observability, logging and monitoring - Grafana, New Relic, Sumologic.
• Security practices - vulnerability scanning (Wiz, Snyk).

Requirements

• 4+ years of DevOps, SRE or related experience, cloud-native software engineering experience preferred.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• GitOps way of working experience (Argo CD).
• At least 4 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure.
• Experience creating and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services: EKS, IAM, ElastiCache (Valkey), Secrets Manager, VPC and S3 - operated via AWS Console, AWS CLI and automated through CI/CD.
• RDBMS database infrastructure (e.g., RDS, Aurora) deployment, configuration and operations including PostgreSQL - writing basic SQL, database backups and migrations.
• Observability, logging and monitoring - Grafana, New Relic, Sumologic.
• Scripting - Python and/or Bash for automation.
• Hands-on Docker experience: writing Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, image optimization, container networking, and Docker Compose for local development
• Ability to create, modify and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes.
• Ability to provide support through critical examination of problems and collaboration with team members and customers (developers, architects, engineers).
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
• Consultative, collaborative, problem-solving approach.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent work streams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and able to fill in missing answers or seek out clarifications from others.
