DevOps Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineerto design, build, andoperatethe platforms and infrastructure that support our applications and services. This role focuses on automation, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, bridging the gap between development and IT operations.
You will work closely with Developers, System Administrators, and Security teams to improve how systems are built, deployed,monitored, and supported in production. This role includes participation in anon‑callrotation supportingbusiness‑criticalsystems.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & DevOps Practices
Build andmaintainCI/CD pipelinesfor application and service deployments.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
Reduce manual effort and operational risk through tooling and standardisation.
Improve deployment reliability, repeatability, and rollback processes.
Security & Best Practices
Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Manage access controls, secrets, and environment configuration securely.
Support vulnerability remediation and platform hardening efforts.
Work closely with Security and IT teams tomaintaincompliance and resilience.
Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
Design, build, andmaintaincloud andon‑premisesinfrastructuresupporting production andnon‑productionenvironments.
Manage infrastructure lifecycle using automation andInfrastructure‑as‑Codeprinciples.
Support virtualised and cloud platforms (e.g. VMware, Nutanix, AWS).
Partner with development teams to support application infrastructure needs.
Reliability, Monitoring & Performance
Implement andmaintainmonitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
Proactivelyidentifyperformance, capacity, and reliability risks.
Participate inpost‑incidentreviews and drivelong‑termimprovements.
Support backup, disaster recovery, andhigh‑availabilitystrategies.
Incident Response & Production Support
Participate in a shared on‑callrotationfor production support.
Respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and performroot‑causeanalysis.
Collaborate across teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Focus on permanent fixes rather thanshort‑termworkarounds.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain documentation for platforms, tooling, and operational processes.
Continuously improve DevOps practices, tooling, and workflows.
Evaluatenew technologiespragmatically, focusing onreal businessvalue.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with CI/CD toolsand deployment pipelines.
Solid experience supporting production databases, including schema changes, performance troubleshooting, backups, and coordination with development teams.?
Hands‑onexperience with cloud platforms(AWS preferred).
Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code(Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.).
Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar).
Solid understanding of networking, system architecture, and security fundamentals.
Experience supporting production systems andparticipatinginon‑callrotations.
Strong troubleshooting androot‑causeanalysis skills.
Experience operating hybrid environments (on‑prem+ cloud).
Nice to Have
Exposure to SRE principles orreliability‑focusedengineering.
Experience with monitoring platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, etc.).
Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with Windows environments alongside Linux.
