Job Description
ooba is looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and enhancing cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep technical knowledge, a passion for efficiency, and a collaborative mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Monitor software performance, troubleshoot errors, and develop proactive system reliability solutions.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and optimize for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments and resolve technical challenges.
- Automate routine tasks and system operations to enhance team productivity.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including automated compliance and secure code delivery.
- Support observability practices by integrating monitoring, alerting, and logging into all stages of delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of API gateway configuration, artifact management, and build orchestration is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions preferred).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
- Strong scripting capabilities in languages such as Python or Bash
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP also valuable).
- Exposure to DevSecOps or experience integrating security into the CI/CD process.
- Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of Agile software delivery practices.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
