Job Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, one of the 100 fastest-growing tech companies in North America.
Our client transforms how audit, risk, and compliance professionals manage today’s dynamic risk landscape with a modern, connected platform that engages the front lines, surfaces the risks that matter, and drives better strategic decision-making.
The person in this role will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure while enabling efficient and developer-friendly operations across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Provision, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Terragrunt, maintaining high standards for modularity and reusability.
- Lead the administration of EKS clusters, overseeing version upgrades, implementing efficient autoscaling strategies, and enforcing robust security policies.
- Design and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments across multiple microservices, ensuring fast and reliable delivery cycles.
- Configure and optimize essential cloud services, including Aurora (PostgreSQL), SQS, S3 storage, and secure Secrets Management.
- Act as a technical escalation point for development teams, providing expert troubleshooting, performance tuning, and architectural guidance.
Requirements
- Advanced Level of English
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC).
- 5+ years of experience with AWS services, specifically EKS, IAM, Lambda, S3, Aurora, and SQS.
- 3+ years of experience programming in Python for automation and tooling.
- Extensive experience managing Kubernetes at scale and working with Docker/containerized environments.
- Proficiency building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Solid foundation in Linux administration and advanced networking concepts.
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields
- Experience with ArgoCD and managing deployments via Helm charts.
- Hands-on experience with Karpenter for efficient Kubernetes node provisioning.
- Proficiency with Terragrunt for managing complex Terraform configurations.
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or SageMaker workflows.
- Experience setting up monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch or similar stacks.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL administration and optimization.
