The Platform Engineer is a key technical role, embedded within a Value Stream squad, responsible for the end-to-end reliability, security, and automation of our software delivery pipelines and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
This role combines the disciplines of DevOps (Automation & CI/CD) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Working closely with tech squad members (i.e. software and data engineers, and SDETs) across the value stream, you will ensure our applications are secure by design, highly available, performant, and deployed with zero human intervention, utilizing infrastructure-as-code principles across Azure and GCP environments and as much as possible on-premises too.
You will encourage other engineers to self-serve as much as possible – providing them with reusable templates, designs and components and educating and coaching them to improve their knowledge and understanding of good platform engineering – to improve the overall flow of engineering and accelerate our ability to deliver value to the business.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, results-driven, and innovative engineer with a strong passion for automation and operational excellence. You must possess the technical breadth to navigate the full platform lifecycle—from security compliance and infrastructure automation to incident response—and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. You should be someone who does not accept the status quo and will constantly push for the maturity of our engineering practices.
