Job Description

Project Role : DevOps Engineer
Project Role Description : Responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure utilizing knowledge in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD), Cloud technologies, Container Orchestration and Security. Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are safe against security threats.

We are seeking a strategic DevOps Engineer for a 6-month engagement to modernize and optimize our global B2B eCommerce platform operations. This role will drive automation, establish best practices, and create the foundation for sustainable platform operations across our SAP Commerce Cloud implementation serving 18 countries. At the end of 6 months, you will provide data-driven recommendations on team capacity, required skills, and whether additional resources are needed.

Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (VMs, App Services, AKS, Azure DevOps, Functions)
Proven track record building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, Ansible)
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS)
Strong Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals
Monitoring and observability expertise (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor)
SAP Commerce Cloud & eCommerce Platform Experience
Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms, preferably SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
Understanding of Java application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere) and JVM performance tuning
Knowledge of B2B eCommerce workflows, integrations, and high-availability architectures
Familiarity with integration platforms (SAP CPI, MuleSoft, or similar middleware)
Professional Skills
Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with systematic troubleshooting approach
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, over-capacity environment
Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones
Strong commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing
Proven ability to deliver results in time-boxed engagements
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Azure certifications strongly preferred (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect)
Additional certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or AWS are beneficial

Proactive monitoring with SLO-based alerting and executive dashboards
Measurable reduction in Sev-1/2 incidents month-over-month
Comprehensive DevOps documentation and runbook library
Data-driven capacity planning report with specific staffing recommendations

Engagement Details
Contract Type: 6-month fixed-term contract
Work Arrangement: Remote-first with flexible hours
Reporting: Direct reporting to Senior Manager, Global eCommerce
Collaboration: Work closely with Accenture AMS team, internal developers, and infrastructure teams
Time Zones: Support global team across US, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions
