
Job Title: DevOps & Application Support Engineer
Technology Foundations, which is responsible for supporting and operating a portfolio of business-critical applications and platforms, is seeking a DevOps & Application Support Engineer to join our team. We are looking for an experienced technology professional who combines strong DevOps engineering capabilities with production support expertise to ensure the stability, reliability, and availability of our enterprise applications and infrastructure platforms.
The role involves working closely with Development, Infrastructure, Operations, and Support teams in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support application operations, release management, automation initiatives, Kubernetes platforms, and operational excellence programs while driving continuous improvements across monitoring, deployment, and support processes.
The Purpose of Your Role
Your role as a DevOps & Application Support Engineer is to ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications while supporting modern DevOps practices and release management processes.
As a member of the engineering and support organization, you will provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot application and platform issues, support CI/CD pipelines, maintain Kubernetes environments, automate operational tasks, and drive improvements in monitoring and observability capabilities.
You will help deliver highly reliable and resilient application platforms through proactive monitoring, incident management, automation, and continuous service improvement.

Providing L2/L3 application and production support across multiple environments.
Monitoring application performance, platform health, and operational metrics.
Troubleshooting incidents and leading root cause analysis activities.
Supporting deployment, change, and release management processes.
Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues efficiently.
Driving operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Helping establish best practices around monitoring, incident response, and platform support.
Developing Python-based automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

You have experience in some orall ofthe following technologies and disciplines:
Production Support and Application Support in enterprise environments.
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Git.
Release Management and Deployment Processes.
Containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Monitoring and observability platforms including Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Python scripting for automation and operational support.
Linux administration, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
SQL and basic PL/SQL development and query optimization.
ServiceNow for Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
Jira for operational tracking, defect management, and enhancement requests.
Scheduling and workload automation tools such as Autosys.
You have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
You possess experience performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions to improve service stability.
You understand ITIL principles and operational support best practices.
Youare able toclearly document operational procedures, support runbooks, and technical solutions and present them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You are motivated, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of production issues through to resolution.
Exposure to enterprise platforms and technologies such as Kafka,ZooKeeper,GemFire, Informatica, Tableau, and messaging or event-streaming solutions will be advantageous.
Knowledge of distributed systems, messaging architectures, caching technologies, and data processing platforms is highly desirable.
The ExpertiseWe’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5–10 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Application Support, Production Support, Platform Support, or related roles.
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise production applications and environments.
Experience working with Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized application deployments.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and release management processes.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Strong Python scripting skills used for automation, operational support, and process improvement.
Excellent Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
Working knowledge of SQL and basic PL/SQL.
Experience with ServiceNow and Jira in support and operational environments.
Strong understanding of incident management, change management, problem management, and operational governance processes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile and cross-functional delivery environments.
