Your opportunity:

The Device and Business Support Manager is accountable for leading, governing, and continuously improving all functions related to device compliance, emergency compliance, and technical business support. This role ensures the organization consistently meets all regulatory, technical, and operational standards for devices across the network.

The role provides strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary technical team, overseeing compliance excellence while championing a strong Customer First mindset, delivering high-quality technical support to Vodafone Business, Sales, and Marketing teams to enable improved customer network experience.

You'll make impact by:

Emergency Compliance Leadership

  • Oversee device-related emergency compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  • Support incident response for device compliance events, coordinating with legal, engineering, and external affairs.
  • Maintain up-to-date compliance frameworks and ensure rapid communication of risk, impact, and mitigation strategies.

Device Compliance Management

  • Ensure all devices meet relevant regulatory, safety, and network compliance standards.
  • Oversee certification processes, testing protocols, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor emerging standards and regulatory changes, advising leadership on impacts and required adjustments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new Devices, SIM and Maintenance Release (MR) software testing according to business priority.

Business Support

  • Manage the technical interface between Engineering, Product, Enterprise and Government, and customer-facing functions, driving a “Customer First” environment.
  • Deliver specialized technical guidance to Sales, Product, Networks, and Customer Operations teams
  • Manage team that provides expert guidance to Product, Marketing, Enterprise, and Government teams on technical impacts of new mobile technologies and support existing and future corporate accounts.
  • Communicate future technology trends, device ecosystem changes, and network evolution impacts in a way that enables informed commercial decisions and improved customer outcomes.

NTRC (UTS) Partnership Oversight

  • Support the partnership and testing pipeline with the National Test & Research Centre (UTS).
  • Ensure test results are integrated into product readiness and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain productive and collaborative external relationships.

What you’ll bring:

Technical Expertise

  • Understanding of device compliance, regulatory frameworks, and testing environments.
  • Experience with device certification processes and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience working in mobile network engineering.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.

Leadership & Operational Skills

  • Proven experience managing technical teams.
  • Strong organisational and operational capability.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across complex environments.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Technology, or equivalent experience.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Compliance, quality, or testing certifications (desirable).
  • Experience with external testing laboratories or industry regulators (advantageous).
