At Holding Hands, our Developmental Interventionists use relationship-based approaches to help individuals grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally. As a Developmental Interventionist, you will deliver individualized care using the DIR®/Floortime™ model across home, school, clinic, and community settings while working alongside a collaborative clinical team

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities as a Developmental Interventionist

  • Provide 1:1 DIR®/Floortime™ intervention
  • Facilitate social, emotional, and developmental growth through play-based interactions
  • Implement individualized, relationship-based activities tailored to each client
  • Support communication, emotional regulation, and social connection
  • Encourage independence, self-expression, and choice-making
  • Build strong relationships with clients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain a nurturing, flexible, and supportive environment

What We’re Looking For

Developmental Interventionist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in a related field)
  • Passion for working with children and supporting developmental growth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation required
  • 1 year of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DIR®/Floortime™, ABA, or early childhood development
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences

Our clinical team focuses on the client's strengths and individual differences while developing an intervention plan that addresses his or her unique profile. Our clinical team fosters a relationship with the client and educates, empowers, and supports the entire family unit. In addition to our pediatric services, we provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families.
