Job Description

NYU Grossman School of Medicine (NYUGSOM), Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible (BC/BE) Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician (DBP) to join as a faculty member for a position that will focus on clinical care and education. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and credentials. The successful candidate will join 4 developmental-behavioral pediatricians and an experienced PhD level research psychologist.

Salary Range $195,000.00 - $208,000.00 per year

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical care and teaching of developmental-behavioral pediatrics in child and adolescent populations across several areas of programmatic/clinical need, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disability, among others. Clinical care and teaching will be provided in the outpatient setting. Our outpatient settings encompass multiple clinical sites with varied patient populations, some including underserved, largely immigrant families. Teaching will entail clinical supervision and mentorship of medical students, Pediatric and Child Neurology residents and Fellows in DBP, as well as providing didactic teaching and guest lectures. The ideal candidate has a strong educational background and an interest in professional development and ongoing medical education. A role in the educational leadership of the DBP Fellowship program is possible in the future.

The position will also provide opportunities for research, and growth in clinical research skills. The Division is a leader in DBP research, with a focus on preventive interventions and health equity. While the ideal candidate will have an interest in research, prior experience is not required.
